It's a complaint that we've heard for many years: "Why don't the Government send me an MOT test reminder?" Now, vehicle owners can register for a free email reminder from gov.uk. Those registered will get a reminder one month before the MOT is due and another reminder if they still haven’t had their vehicle tested 2 weeks before the MOT is due. Volkswagen has been forced to ditch two TV adverts, after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) decided the company had exaggerated safety features.
