It's a complaint that we've heard for many years: "Why don't the Government send me an MOT test reminder?" Now, vehicle owners can register for a free email reminder from gov.uk. Those registered will get a reminder one month before the MOT is due and another reminder if they still haven’t had their vehicle tested 2 weeks before the MOT is due. Volkswagen has been forced to ditch two TV adverts, after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) decided the company had exaggerated safety features. The end of the advert shows the son taking his father out for his first drive along city streets in a new Polo, being protected from collisions with other vehicles and pedestrians by Volkswagen's 'Advanced Safety Systems'.
